Frequently Asked Questions

What does a typical photography package include?

Our base package includes photography (obviously) for the agreed upon hours. It also includes a complimentary private couple’s shoot before, after, or between the scheduled event to allow for a greater variety of photos from your big day. We always include both RAW photos and a full suite of edited images within the invoiced total.

Do you provide RAW photographs?

Most photographers actually decline to provide RAW photos due to file size constraints and in order to retain their own personal artistic quality control. While we understand that, our perspective is that clients deserve the ability to access these core images at their leisure. Editing styles can change over time and clients should be able to re-visit their RAW photos years from now to tweak and edit as they see fit. For ease of use, client images and RAW photos are all delivered digitally.

Do you guys shoot video?

We have officially begun to include videography as one of our services. If you are interested in our videography packages, please feel free to inquire about them.

How do you come up with pricing?

All of our invoices are based off of event scale, venue expectations, amount of coverage needed, expected labor hours, and of course, editing requirements. At the time of booking, we do require a non-refundable deposit to set your special day aside for you. The remaining balance will be due by the day of your event.

How many photographers will be needed for my event?

Smaller events are typically covered by a single photographer while mid to large sized events will require two on-site photographers to adequately cover. We address the challenges of every shoot on a case by case basis and make our assessments based on subject/guest count and physical area of coverage.

Do you guys travel?

While we typically shoot in the tri-state NJ, PA, and NY area, our events have taken us all over the country. We’re always excited to shoot in new locations and don’t mind traveling at all. However, for travel that exceed 150 miles, we do charge a travelers fee especially if we have to book accommodations for the night. Feel free to inquire and we can work out details together!

How do you cater to clients observing hijab?

Our studio prides itself on the unique service we provide to couples observing hijab or to those just looking for a photographer to be comfortable with. Zahraa, our female photographer, observes hijab herself and coordinates all hijabi/modesty requests independently. Data, RAW photos, and edits are managed entirely by her and with the upmost privacy in mind. From camera to digital delivery, you can be assured that only Zahraa will interact with these photos. We strongly urge observing couples to take advantage of this service in order to get stunning bridal preparation shots!

How many photos should I expect from my event?

A typical 6 hour wedding session nets our team an estimated 1,000+ photos. Out of these shots, 1 in 4 is developed even further through in-house editing. These numbers are just a ball-park and represent our most typical experiences photographing wedding events. Portraiture events are a lot more intimate and photo count typically depends on the style of photography the client is going for.

When will my photos be ready?

Our most common delivery timeline is usually between 4 and 6 weeks for images to be curated, edited, and uploaded. During a busier shooting season, this timeline may be slightly delayed. For expedited processing delivery, please reach out to our team for additional pricing.

How long are my photos available online?

We ask that you download all of your event content at that time that your digital deliverables are ready. While we try our best to back up our digital content through our own in-house systems, there are always risks with data management. We maintain multiple backups and would ask that you also store your treasured memories somewhere safe. We recommend no less than 3 different backups in multiple different locations.

How can I get my wedding photos printed?

We leave album printing to the professionals. It is an incredibly intricate art and something that requires its own set of expertise. Over the years we have been exposed to the different services, options, and ways of producing albums and we can certainly provide a helping hand in getting you started with those services.

What is model release and can you use my likeness?

A model release allows a photographer to use captured photos promotionally. This is included by default in our contracts and can be removed for an additional fee. In order to maintain our portfolios and continue to reach our clients, SRR Studios will likely use your likeness in promotional content, on our social media pages, and on our website. Photography is unlike any other field in that it doesn’t have a “resume” that we can show to clients demonstrating our competence. Our photos are quite literally our proof of workmanship and have been integral to our success so far.
